Division of Modernization and Construction Services

Introduction:

The Department is charged with the responsibility of providing the following functions:

  1. The comprehensive modernization and administration of construction projects
  2. Contract development and Negotiation
  3. Development and Maintenance of 5 year CFP action plan
  4. Budget and Cost control through the implementation of CFP and CDBG
  5. Development and maintenance of comprehensive database of capital needs (Physical Needs Assessment, PNA)
  6. Job Order Contract (JOC) program administration
  7. Maintenance of GIS database and Plan Indexer
  8. Capital Grant development and Implementation (CFP and CDBG)
  9. Design and Construction Management
  10. Force account management and supervision
  11. Affiliation with other Departments
  12. Relocation coordination and oversight
  13. Community Awareness through modernization project activities, news letters and Residents’ meetings Accomplishments: - High Quality Comprehensive Modernization Projects - Effective Selective Modernization - Project/Design Awards - Capital Fund Program Bonus - Timely Budgetary Obligations and Expenditure
