FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYER’S EDUCATION 16-HOUR WORKSHOP
First-Time Homebuyers will learn from an array of partners who are dedicated to ensuring that the participants make the best educated decision regarding purchasing a home.
- Workshops are held every Tuesday and Thursday of each month, with the exception of December.
- Workshops are from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m.
- Topics for the workshops include, but are not limited to: Shopping for a loan ~ Shopping for a Home ~ Credit Counseling ~ Insurance/Inspections ~ Post-Purchase ~ “What Now” ~ Foreclosure Prevention ~ Repairs & Maintenance

ONE-ON-ONE HOMEOWNERSHIP COUNSELING
The Center offers one-on-one credit and budget counseling to assist clients through the process of homeownership. The clients will learn how to:
Set Goals • Budget • Shop for a loan • Determine Affordability • Shop for a Realtor • Pre-Qualification • Pre-Purchasing • Credit Counseling • Post-Purchasing • Intervention Counseling • Financial Literacy
SECTION 8 HOMEOWNERSHIP VOUCHER PROGRAM
All participants of the Assisted Housing Program (Section 8) Program interested in purchasing a home, must receive one-on-one counseling prior to utilizing the Homeownership Voucher Program to assist in that purchase.
CFAH partners with various lenders for the Section 8 Homeownership Voucher Program. We continue partnerships with the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County to provide homeownership counseling for both entities.

FORECLOSURE INTERVENTION & DEFAULT COUNSELING
Homeowners are at a loss of what to do next due to lack of knowledge. This fear has paralyzed many people; however, the Center recognizes the need to sustain homeownership and provides the necessary tools through its Foreclosure Intervention and Default Counseling program.
* Completion of Mortgage Assistance Packet required
FINANCIAL PLANNING
Includes post-purchase budgeting and prioritization, exposure to financial planning tools and services focusing on wealth building.
