Stimulus Updates

 

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 -

THA's Stimulus Projects.

The Tampa Housing Authority has received $10.5 million for the modernization of its public housing units under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.   The Authority intends to utilize all of the funds received for energy efficient modernization and large scale capital improvements on all of its properties.  An extensive needs assessment has been implemented to determine the appropriate use of the dollars received through the stimulus plan.  In addition the Tampa Housing Authority applied for several competitive Recovery grants ($88,169,986 in applications total) and has been awarded $51,555,998 for 5 different projects to improve existing public housing communities, provide infrastructure for the new Encore District and stabilize communities within the city of Tampa. 

All federal requirements involving Davis Bacon wage determination, Section 3 and MBE will be complied with.  The following web pages will document the work and progress being made at all properties owned by the Housing Authority.
